A list of free Redbox rental codes, where to more Free Redbox Rental Codes and how to have them sent to you

If you’re like me, then you’re always trying to find ways to save money, even when you want to enjoy a movie night. One of my favorite places to rent DVD movies on the cheap is at the Redbox. And, did you know that there are ways to score some FREE movie rental codes every month? Below are some of my top tips on how I enjoy Redbox for FREE every month.

1. Download the Redbox App on your cell phone

Here’s an easy way to receive a FREE one night rental code right now. All you have to do is download the Redbox App onto your phone! After downloading the app, you need to use the code by reserving a movie through the Redbox App or online. Depending on what kind of phone you have, instructions for set up will be different. Below are some available options.

  • If you have an Android, search for Redbox in the play store then download the app. Then, text “RBPLAY” to 727272. You’ll receive a text back with a code for a FREE rental!
  • If you have an Apple Device, go here to download the app. Then, text RBAPP to 727272 to receive your free rental code via text.

2. Sign up for the Monthly Redbox Text Club

One way I receive free Redbox rental codes every month is by the fact that I subscribed to the Redbox Text Club. Basically, every month I receive a FREE rental code sent straight to my phone. There is no set day or time, so you’ll just receive a surprise text message with the code. Typically, you can only use it for that night until midnight. To sign up, just text “SIGNUP” to 727272. Also, I noticed that I receive more free rental codes around the holidays. And occasional, I get promo codes good for buy one get one free, or even $0.50 off. You can always cancel receiving texts anytime by texting “STOP” to 727272.

3. Sign up to receive the Redbox Newsletter

If you sign up to receive the Redbox newsletter, you will receive occasional e-mails which include cents off rental codes, holiday promotions, and many more exclusive offers! I typically receive $0.50/1 rental code once a month. Even if I don’t use it, I can give it to a friend to use.

TIP: Also make sure to “like” the Redbox Facebook page for updates and promotions! Sometimes, they release promotions on their Facebook page first OR have promotions going on that may not have been e-mailed to you!

4. Sign up for a FREE Redbox online account.

By signing up for a Redbox account online, they will give a you free rental code AFTER you reserve your rental online, and return your rental. Here’s how it works:

  •     Create an account
  •     Reserve your first movie online
  •     Pick up at a kiosk and enjoy
  •     Return your rental and get an account credit redeemable online for a free one-night DVD rental

5. Find FREE Rebox Rental Codes Online OR Through Special Offers

Believe it or not, it’s not that hard to find free promo codes online OR through other special offers. For instance, you can sign up for a FREE 30 day trial of the new Redbox Instant that will get you a free month of unlimited streaming movies as well as 4 DVD credits that can be used at Redbox kiosks. If you’d like to stay after the 30 day trial, you’ll always score four 4 FREE DVD rental credits to use. And, you don’t have to carry around any promo codes! All you do is go to your local Redbox Kiosk, find the movie you’d like to purchase, and then click on “use credits” at the kiosk. Just make sure to use the credit card you have on file with Redbox Instant. A verification screen will pop up verifying your credits being used. Plus, if you’re ever a day late, they will just use the credits you have on file first before charging your credit card.

Below is a current list of FREE Redbox Rental codes! Remember, the DVD has to be returned by 9pm to avoid extra day rental charges. Each Redbox code can only be used once per credit card.  Some Redbox promo codes may be regional and may not work everywhere.
