Tonight I am sharing my Southwest Pasta Skillet recipe at $5 Dinners. This recipe was inspired by neccesity. I had planned to make Taco Salad, but when I pulled the lettuce out of the fridge, it was mushy. I quickly inventoried the ingredients I had at my disposal and made this impromtu skillet dish. It has become a family favorite and is one of the things I cook on busy “I want to feed my family a hot meal, but I don’t have time to cook” nights. 🙂

Looks delicious! I’m always looking for new ways to use my taco seasoning, other than the typical taco or taco salad. The meal I posted today is also an “I don’t want to cook but I want to give my family a hot meal” recipe. hehe
