Scotcheroos Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats

An easy Rice Krispie Treats recipe that has all the delicious flavor of Scotcheroos.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter
  • 40 large marshmallows
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups of Rice Krispies (or gluten-free variety)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
Directions
  1. Grease a 9x13 pan.
  2. Add the butter, marshmallows, and peanut butter to a large pot.
  3. Cook over a medium flame, stirring regularly until the marshmallows are melted.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the Rice Krispies.
  5. Spread the mixture out immediately in the greased 9 x 13 pan.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips to a saucepan. Cook over a low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
  7. Spread the melted chips on top of Rice Krispie treats.
  8. Place the rice krispie treats in the refrigerator until the topping has hardened.
