Rudolph Sugar Cookies
Recipe type: Christmas Cookies
Serves: 12
  • 1.5 cups softened salted butter
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4½ cups all-purpose flour
  • gingerbread man cookie cutter
  • brown decorating cupcake icing
  • red chocolate coated candies
  • small candy eyes
  • white shimmer sugar
  1. Preheat your oven to 325° and line a baking sheet of parchment paper or grease with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Beat your softened butter and sugar together.
  3. Now mix in your almond extract, vanilla extract, and egg.
  4. Mix in your flour one cup at a time until you have a thick dough.
  5. Knead the dough in your hands.
  6. Lay out a piece of parchment paper, flour the surface, and roll your dough out (keep a little thick).
  7. Use your cookie cutter to cut your gingerbread men and place them on your baking sheet. You can keep them fairly close together as they should not spread.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let cool and turn your cookies upside down to decorate.
  10. Dab a small amount of frosting onto the back of your candy eyes and red-coated chocolate candies. Stick them onto the round part of the cookie as pictured.
  11. Now use your brown frosting to draw on antlers.
  12. Sprinkle the antlers with your shimmer sugar and enjoy!
