Dairy-Free Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 cup coconut palm sugar (or brown sugar)
  • ½ cup soy-free dairy-free margarine
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
  1. Place sugar, dairy-free margarine, almond milk, arrowroot, and salt in a medium sauce pan. Cook over a medium heat until it reaches a boil.
  2. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir in vanilla. Let sit for a couple of minutes to cool.
