  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons savory
  • 1 teaspoon lavender
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  1. Place the rosemary (and lavender if you wish) in a mortar. Grind with a pestle until you have achieved the desired consistency.
  2. Add the other herbs and grind if desired.
  3. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Store in an airtight container.
You may want to experiment by adding a teaspoon of tarragon or a teaspoon of fennel to this recipe.
