milk
or dairy-free substitute

teaspoon
vanilla
Instructions
Add the blueberries, sugar, water, cornstarch, and cinnamon to a medium bowl. Stir to combine.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon together.
Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a small bowl combine egg, milk, and vanilla.
Add to flour mixture, stirring just to moisten.
Pour filling into an 8x8 baking dish.
Spoon the topping onto the filling. The topping will not be perfectly spread out over the top but the spoonfuls will cook together in the oven.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Serve warm or cool.
