Peanut Butter Doughnut Ingredients:
1/2cupsall-purpose flour
2/3cupbrown sugar
2teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2cuppeanut buttersmooth or chunky
3/4cupmilk
2eggsbeaten
1/2teaspoonvanilla
Peanut Butter Glaze Ingredients:
1/2cupchunky peanut butter
2tablespoonsbutter
2cupspowdered sugar
1/4cupmilk
1/2teaspoonvanilla
Instructions
Peanut Butter Doughnuts Directions:
If using the oven preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease doughnut pans. If using a donut maker, preheat your donut maker.
In a medium bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and baking powder together.
Add the peanut butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed just until mixed.
Oven Directions: Fill the donut pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 – 15 minutes or until tops are brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Donut Maker Directions: Fill the bottom portion until it is just full. Close the lid and cook for 7 minutes or until your donut maker indicates that they are done and they appear lightly browned and cooked through.
Place the donut pans on cooling rack and let the doughnuts cool in the pans.
Once the doughnuts are cool, spoon the peanut butter glaze over the top using the recipe below.
Peanut Butter Glaze Directions:
Add peanut butter and butter to a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave for 30 seconds or until the butter is melted and the peanut butter is softened.
Stir the powdered sugar into the peanut butter mixture. Add the vanilla. Slowly stir in the milk until you reach your desired consistency.
Place wax paper or baking sheet beneath cooling rack. Spoon the glaze over the doughnuts.
