Cut goats milk soap up into approximately 1”x 1” pieces, this will make it melt faster and more evenly.
Place soap chunks and coconut oil in a small pan, if you make DIY beauty recipes very often it is a good idea to invest in a decent quality pan to reserve for just that.
Heat soap base and coconut oil over medium-low heat and stir frequently just until melted. You could also do this in the microwave in a large glass measuring cup if you prefer.
Remove from heat and stir in the bentonite clay until well mixed.
Add in essential oils and give it another good stir.
Pour your mixture into whatever mold shape and size you prefer from small hand soap sizes to large bars-it may depend on the size of your dog what size you like.
Allow your soap bars to harden up for 4 or 5 hours until solid then carefully remove from mold.
Notes
Store hardened in a cool dry place. To use: wet your dog in the sink or tub thoroughly. Give them a good scrub with your soap bar and rinse well. Repeat if your dog is extra dry or stinky.
