Homemade Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

olive oil

diced onion

garlic

whole Roma tomatoes
or 28 ounce can whole, peeled tomatoes

teaspoon
dried oregano
or 4 teaspoons fresh oregano

dried basil
or 2 teaspoons fresh

teaspoon
sugar

teaspoon
seasoned salt
1/8
teaspoon
crushed red pepper flakes
dash of pepper
Instructions
Heat the oil in large pot over medium heat. Add onions and saute until they are translucent, 5 - 7 minutes.
Add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Add the tomatoes and crush with a potato masher.
Add oregano, basil, sugar, seasoned salt, red pepper flakes, and pepper. Stir well.
Cook until it reaches a boil, then lower the flame and simmer for 20 minutes.
