Green sugar sprinkles recipe in notes (if you are going to make a lot of bags, you may want to buy sanding sugar in bulk.)
Grinch Dust holiday printable gift tag

Instructions

Print out the gift tags with Grinch dust poem and cut them out.
Pour 2 tablespoons of green sugar sprinkles into the bottom of each of the small clear bags.
Fold over the top of each bag, and staple it closed.
Position the gift tags with poem on the front of the sealed plastic bags, and secure them by stapling.

How to Make Green Sugar Sprinkles

Green sugar sprinkles are used to make Grinch Dust. If you have colored sugar on hand, use it. If not, follow these directions to make green colored sugar. This recipe can be doubled or tripled if necessary.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup granulated sugar
green food color

Directions:

1. Pour the sugar into a resealable plastic bag. Add 6 drops of green food color. Seal the bag and knead gently until the color is evenly distributed. Add more food color, a drop or two at a time, with kneading in between until you reach the desired intensity of green you wish for.

2. Spread the green colored sugar in a thin layer on a baking sheet. Break up any large lumps using the back of a fork.

3. Let the sugar sit for 15 to 20 minutes or until it has dried completely.

Note: If your sugar has caked, you can sift it or push it through a fine mesh sieve to return the sugar to its original texture.

Store your colored sugar in a sealed container in cool, dry place.
