Preheat oven to 350.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat mat.

Whip softened butter in stand or hand mixer until fluffy.

Mix in brown sugar and vanilla to combine well.

Add flour, 1 cup at a time until thoroughly mixed.

Stir in pecans.

Flour counter or work surface lightly.

Press dough out to about 1/3" thickness, you can use a rolling pins or just press with your hands.

Cut out in any shape you desire,transfer to baking sheet.

Bake for 9-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
