This sweet and salty combination makes a great appetizer or meal. Caramelized onions and apples pair perfectly with black forest ham for a savory combination.

Ingredients
2medium applesI like Gala
1medium sweet onion
1tbspbutter
5or 6 thin slices black forest ham
Havarti cheese
1/2cupapplesauce
1tbspgarlic infused vinegar
saltpepper, and garlic salt to taste
1premade pizza crustI used a gluten free version
1tspolive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Slice apples into 1/4" thick wedges.
Slice onion into very thin slices.
In a small skillet, heat butter until melted. Saute the apples and onions in the butter until they begin to caramelize.
Lightly coat the pizza crust with olive oil on both sides and place on a nonstick baking sheet.
Mix the applesauce, vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic salt together and pour over the pizza crust.
Cut the ham into small strips and place on pizza.
Add the caramelized apples and onions to the pizza and top with several thin slices of Havarti cheese.
Bake the pizza in your preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
Remove pizza from oven and allow to cool for several minutes before serving.
