How to Make Your Own Poultry Seasoning Spice Mix

How to Make Poultry Seasoning Spice Mix

A few weeks ago I wrote a post sharing how I make my own pumpkin pie spice. Another spice mix that I make to use through out the winter is poultry seasoning mix.

I grow all of the ingredients except for the celery seed in my herb garden, so there is no reason for me to buy a mix when I can just buy a small amount of celery seed and make it myself. You don’t have to grow your own spices to make this mix, chances are you have most of the ingredients in your spice cupboard already.

The great thing about making your own spice mixes is that you can tailor them to suit your taste. You might want to start with a quarter batch and then adjust it to your preferences.

Comments

  1. I actually have all those in my drawer!

  2. I just printed your ingredient list and taped it to my almost-empty jar of purchased poultry seasoning. That will remind me to make my own homemade version, thanks to you, when it's gone!
