Do you have a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear?

I definitely did! Which was really a bad place to be in when I needed to do photo shoots and make appearances in support of my book launch! This was complicated by the fact that I put off building my wardrobe because I hadn’t lost my baby weight yet. Yes, my baby is 8, but I just wanted to put it off a little longer to give myself more time to lose that weight. My old clothes didn’t fit me right, but I didn’t want to look for new clothing.

Fortunately a couple of professional stylists came to my aid. One of the important things I learned is that dressing for your body type, even your slightly plumper post-baby body type, will make you look slimmer and make you feel more confident.

Once I had some work clothes that I adored and felt confident in, I wanted to learn more so I could apply the principles used by the stylists to my entire wardrobe, so I am took the Adore Your Wardrobe Course from Kelly Snyder of Redefined Mom. She is on a mission to demystify fashion for women, transforming the way they think about, buy and put-together outfits!

Kelly had a revelation that changed how she looked at her wardrobe… Fashion isn’t art.

Fashion is:

  • science
  • math
  • proportion
  • balance

After my experience with stylists, I knew Kelly was on to something!

The Adore Your Wardrobe eCourse is a 30-day course that will change the way you think about fashion and your wardrobe. This nine module (and one master class) course contains videos, written overviews, and worksheets to help give you the skills to become a killer fashionista.

You’ll receive instant access to the entire course to enjoy the lessons when it’s convenient for your schedule.

Every few days, you will receive an email from Kelly with an overview of the day’s lesson, as well as a mini-challenges to help build your confidence and feel successful in your ability to create a great-looking outfit.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
