With the cost of gas approaching nearly $4 a gallon, you are probably looking for ways to save money on the fuel you need each week. Sure you know that you should shop around, or to use your store loyalty cards to save money on gas, but what else can you do to keep a little extra cash in your pocket? Phone apps are the perfect way to save money on gas. How? They do all of the homework for you and find you the lowest prices! If you are not sure where to begin, take a look below at some of the best phone apps perfect for saving you money on gas.

Phone Apps That Help You Save Money on Gas:

1. GasBuddy
GasBuddy is a FREE app that helps you find the nearest gas station. It also allows searching by price or location, so that you can find the best deal in your area. You can even search by zip code or city.

2. AAA TripTik
The AAA TripTik app will show you the route that will use the least amount of gas when you are preparing to travel. Use it before taking any sort of trip, long or short, and you are sure to save.

3. Route4Me
Route4Me will help you organize your route when running errands. This way you will use the least amount of gas possible and even cut out wasted time. This app is FREE and so easy to use!

4. iGasUp
iGasUp finds you gas stations based on price and even on location. It does cost 0.99 cents, but claims to be the most accurate of all of the gas apps on the market today.

5. Fuel Finder
The Fuel Finder app can truly be a lifesaver. It helps you get to the closest station if you are running low on gas, and even can get you roadside help. It does cost $2.99, but features a variety of helpful options that make it worth it.
