From the first snow to the last spring snow, there are a lot of days to fill in the winter. Get the kids outside for some fun with this DIY Snow Paint. We are showing you how to Make Snow Paint and giving you tips to get your kids started on their masterpiece.

HOW TO MAKE SNOW PAINT

Who knew that you and the kids could have so much fun in the snow with just a squeeze bottle and some food coloring?  You can when it turns into brightly colored bottles of fun, we will we teach you  How To Make Snow Paint!  Whether you are going to add color to a snowman, write your name in freshly fallen snow, or paint an elaborate piece of art over your entire front yard this is a super fun way to get your kids outdoors for some fresh air and exercise their creativity too.

How to Make Snow Paint

Supplies Needed:

    • Liquid food coloring
    • Cold water
    • Squeeze bottleshow to make snow paint supplies

Directions:

1. Take the lids off your squeeze bottles and squeeze several drops of each food coloring in a different bottle. You can usually pick these plastic bottles up at Dollar Tree but if you are unable to find them I located some HERE on Amazon for you to grab.how to make your own snow paint

2. Carefully fill the bottle up with cold water, not too fast or it will bubble over. Leave an inch space from the top. If the color is too light, add more food coloring to achieve a more vibrant color paint. how to make snow paint in bottles

3. Tightly place the lids back on and wipe down the bottles well, replace cap until ready to use.
4. Carefully take the tops off and use them to paint in the snow.diy snow paint

 

Start by having your children trying out drops, squiggles, and lines to get the hang of using the snow paint bottles. Then move on to simple shapes. Once they are comfortable, have them move up to to creating their own snow artwork!

*Food coloring will stain, so be careful.
