How to make washi tape napkins

We found everything we used here at our local Dollar Tree store. Final cost? Just $2.oo!

Directions:
1. Begin by cutting your cardboard rolls into 2 inch segments. This is typically the perfect size for a napkin ring.

2. Once your cardboard roll is cut, you can begin attaching the washi tape. Simply cut a length to fit all of the way around and apply. You can create a single strip, or create multiple strips as we did. The choice is up to you.

3. Once the washi tape is applied, finish the napkin ring by adding a bow. We simply tied a thin piece of ribbon into a bow, trimmed the ends, and attached it with glue. Hold it in place until secure.

4. Now, all you need to do is roll up your napkin and slide it through the napkin ring.

Display your washi tape napkin rings on your plates prior to dinner starting or arrange them in a basket. They add some festive formality to your table and really make guests feel welcome.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
