10 ways to introduce the letter C to your child through fun activities, crafts, recipes, and more.

I am so happy you could join us for another week of introducing the alphabet! This week, I have gathered some fun projects, crafts and recipes on ways to introduce the letter C. If you missed previous weeks, make sure you check out the links below. Let’s get started!

10+ Ways To Introduce the Letter C

Ways to Teach the Letter C with Crafts:

This C is for Clouds craft from Discover Explore Learn is so simple and frugal! All you need is construction paper, glue and some cotton balls!

This Hand-print Crab from Snails and Puppy Dog Tails is super fun and messy, just the way preschoolers like it!

Printables to Teach the Letter C:

What early learner doesn’t love coloring pages? Here is an adorable C is for Cat printable from Education.com.

Fun Letter C Activities::

Why not make Crowns from found objects outside? This is a fun activity and craft in one! Just get a piece of construction paper, make a strip that fits the circumference of your child’s head and gather leaves, flowers (that fell, of course!) and other natural objects to take home and create a crown with using glue?

Get outside and practice writing the letter C with some chalk! If the weather is not good for that, try doing some crayon rubbings with items that start with the letter C.

Books:

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr

Corduroy by Don Freeman

The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss

Carmen and the letter C by Cynthia Fitterer Klingel

Recipes:

Make these Very Cherry Cupcakes from Delightful E Made. Aren’t they just amazing?

For a healthier snack, get some ranch dressing and lay out vegetables that start with the letter C to dip! Cauliflower, Carrots,  and even celery are all great!

More Fun with the Letter C:

I love this Letter C Sensory Bin from Stir the Wonder! It contains fun stuff for your kids to touch, talk about and play with! A great quiet time activity to learn finer motor skills!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
