Gallery of Favorites
April of The 21st Century Housewife and I would like to welcome you to our weekend blog hop: Gallery of Favorites!

This week we are featuring two pumpkin doughnuts recipes: Pumpkin Doughnuts from Gastronomical Sovereignty and   Pumpkin Doughnuts with Spiced Buttermilk Glaze from Girlichef. Both recipes capture the delightful flavors of fall.

Pumpkin Doughnuts with Spiced Buttermilk Glaze

“I don’t fall for just any old doughnut.  It has to be a particularly soft and yeasty doughnut with a thin crust of glaze that shatters when you take a bite and gets sticky fingerprints from being held”. -Heather of Girlichef

Pumpkin Doughnuts

“Crispy on the outside, cakey and fluffy on the inside, sweet and truthfully one of the best desserts I’ve ever made”. –Kristy of Gastronomical Sovereignty

The Gallery of Favorites is a place for you to feature your favorite posts from your own blog. Although April and I both spend a lot of our time writing about food, we do have many other interests and we know our readers do as well. The Gallery of Favorites is a place for all bloggers – not just food bloggers – to share their ideas, interests and passions.

    Hi Diane
Happy Friday and thank you for hosting!
This week I’m sharing how to make yogurt in a crockpot. Learn how a crockpot can be such a useful appliance to maintain the temperature necessary to culture your own delicious creamy yogurt. Trust me, you will never buy yogurt in a store again. Enjoy!!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
