Homemade Candy Recipes- These candy recipes are easy to make right at home. Share a batch at your next holiday party or package them up and give as gifts!

I was thinking of all the fun stuff most people typically enjoy this time of year and homemade candy is definitely one of them. It’s a wonder why we don’t enjoy it all year long! There is nothing quite like plates of candy sitting around to hand out to friends and family or just to much on yourself. If you are a fan of chocolate, there is plenty of that to go around this time of year, too! Are you looking to enjoy some homemade candy this year? Here are some awesome Homemade Candy Recipes from brittle to fudge, and beyond!

Homemade Candy Recipes

If divinity is your thing, try this Chai Spiced Divinity with Pecans. For a minty version, make this Peppermint Divinity on 5 Dollar Dinners.

Who doesn’t love a good candy bark? Try this Cookies and Cream bark for a great combination of favorite flavors!

One of my favorite sweets to make is toffee. Here is a great Traditional Toffee Recipe to try.

Peanut brittle is a yummy treat to make and give. Here is a traditional Peanut Brittle Recipe from Baked By Rachel. If you want a super easy recipe, give this Microwave Peanut Brittle a try.

You can’t beat chocolate fudge during the holidays, so here is a great recipe for making traditional Easy Chocolate Fudge.

When I think of Christmas recipes that have stood the test of time, I think of Candied Orange Peels. They are really simple to make!

I used to buy and hide boxes of chocolate covered cherries but this recipe for Amish Chocolate Covered Cherries from Taste of Lizzy T’s looks simple enough, I may just make my own!

My mom used to make Glass Candy at Christmas time and I made some a couple of years ago. It is pretty easy and the results taste amazing. Here’s a recipe from Mandy’s Recipe Box for Cinnamon Broken Glass Candy.

Try making some peppermint patties! I made these once at Christmas and my mom loved them so much she begs me to make them every year. Check out this recipe for Peppermint Patties from The Gunny Sack.

Truffles are another way to bring chocolate into the mix when making homemade candy. Here are some Easy Chocolate Truffles to make from Living on a Dime.

Why not make some Homemade Gumdrops this year in fun holiday shapes and colors like Mom on Time Out did?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
