Gallery of Favorites
April of The 21st Century Housewife and I would like to welcome you to the second edition of our weekend blog hop: Gallery of Favorites!

The Gallery of Favorites is a place for you to feature favorite posts from your own blog. Although April and I both spend a lot of our time writing about food, we do have many other interests and we know our readers do as well. The Gallery of Favorites is a place for all bloggers – not just food bloggers – to share their ideas, interests and passions.

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week; I enjoyed visiting your blogs and reading your posts! April and I have chosen the Toffee Ice Cream post from Vicky at Gluten Free, SCD and Veggie as our featured post this week. It is more than just a delicious recipe, it is an excellent tutorial and includes in-depth directions on how to make the mouthwatering toffee.

Vicky shares gluten free and vegetarian recipes, most of which are also suitable for the SCD diet. I first discovered her blog when I was looking for recipes that were both gluten-free and vegetarian after two vegetarians in my life were informed that they needed to follow a gluten-free diet. I fell in love with her creative recipes and have really come to appreciate her alternatives to refined sugar and flours.

What have you been focusing on this week? Share your favorite post!
The Gallery of Favorites will remain open for entries until Sunday evening.
Include a link to your favorite post, rather than to your blog.
Include a link to one of the hosts in your post, either through text or with a button:

We hope that you will take the time to visit some of the other entries in our Gallery of Favorites. It is a great way to discover new writers, or a new side to some of your favorite bloggers.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
