Loaded coleslaw recipe with bacon, apple, and almond slivers

Need an easy salad for your next party or barbecue? This easy coleslaw recipe with apple, bacon, and almond slices is a real crowd pleaser! It is topped with a coleslaw dressing made with mayonnaise and balsamic dressing which gives a unique depth of flavor to the slaw.

This is an easy make-ahead salad recipe. You can make it up to 24 hours before your next gathering.

Even better, by carefully choosing the brands you use to make the coleslaw dressing, this salad can be made paleo-friendly and gluten-free. If you leave out the apple and use an avocado oil mayo and  Swerve Brown Sugar Replacement in the dressing, this coleslaw is keto-friendly.

I like to use Annie’s Balsamic VinaigretteAnnie’s Balsamic Vinaigrette in the coleslaw dressing, but you can use whatever balsamic dressing you prefer.

Hi! This looks very yummy and ANY kind of salad interests me. But I haven’t heard of “balsamic salad dressing “. So, is it JUST balsamic vinegar; or is it a mix of mayo/vinegar? Or a specific bottled dressing?
Thanks for your information ahead of time- I appreciate that. M. A.

No, it is a Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing. My favorite brand if I am buying it is Annie’s.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
