Gallery of Favorites
April of The 21st Century Housewife and I would like to welcome you to our weekend blog hop: Gallery of Favorites!
The Gallery of Favorites is a place for you to feature your favorite posts from your own blog. Although April and I both spend a lot of our time writing about food, we do have many other interests and we know our readers do as well. The Gallery of Favorites is a place for all bloggers – not just food bloggers – to share their ideas, interests and passions.
Thank you to everyone who shared a post last week. April and I will host another themed Gallery of Favorites on Friday, November 4th. The theme will be Holidays. All posts will be welcome as usual, but we want to encourage you to look through your archives and share your holiday tips, recipes, and ideas.
There were many stunning posts last week. I have to tell you that I really admire the photography skills that you all possess. Each week as I visit your posts, I am inspired to work more a little harder at improving my pictures. This week April and I are featuring the Girlichef’s Apple Bread with Sugar and Cinnamon Topping:
When it bakes, it doesn’t rise and form a dome like you may expect. Nope. Instead that awesome topping you’ve covered the batter with sort of buckles into the center. The bread itself is laced with apples and spice with little nutty surprises…and it is oh, so moist. The crust on the top is crunchy and crumbly and absolutely blissful. I would definitely choose to spend time with it. ~Girlichef
I agree with the Girlichef; this is definitely a bread that I would choose to spend time with. In fact, I have added this to my “must adapt to make gluten-free” list.

Thanks so much for the feature and your kinds words
Happy Weekend! I linked my Apple Chutney recipe…a great way to use the apples from the tree..
Alea,
I don’t how it’s happening, but last week and this week I’ve received a flood of StumbleUpon visitors. Over 1000 yesterday! Can you tell me what you’re doing to drive so much traffic to my site? I really do appreciate it!
Blessings to you,
Marilyn (aka e-Mom)
I think the important things to being a good stumbler is to add the appropriate tags so that people who share those interests can find the post (I know this seems obvious, but I do find that a lot of posts are not tagged correctly). It is also important to write a short review. For yours I just wrote the name of the recipe – enough said!
I also only stumble things that I think others will find interesting because that helps everything I stumble. If someone like one of my stumbles, they have the choice of stumbling through all my other stumbles. Which means if a couple of my stumbles do well, it lifts all my other stumbles up.
Wow that bread looks amazing- so rich and perfect combo of sweetness. I love it. Linking up my pumpkin and banana spiced bread!
