.Vitamin Angels - 100 million reasons to take your vitamins

Last month I went to Walgreens to stock up on vitamins and  prepare for cold season. While I was there I asked the manager a question. After he answered my question, we continued to chat and he told me about Walgreens partnership with Vitamin Angels.

Vitamin Angels

Millions of children in the US and around the world are suffering from ‘hidden hunger’, a lack of micronutrients that can lead to disease and even death. Walgreens is giving a portion of their sales to Vitamin Angels to help children in the U.S. and abroad get the vitamins they need to live well. By 2017, Walgreens and Vitamin Angels aim to reach 100 million children and mothers in over 40 countries worldwide. They are focusing on helping children under five, pregnant women and new mothers gain access to life changing vitamins and minerals. So far they have raised funds to aid 28 million kids!

BOGO Sale on Walgreens Vitamins

All Walgreens Brand Vitamins and Supplements are buy one get one free, of equal or lesser value, so now is a good time to stock up on vitamins.  Walgreens has a wide assortment of vitamins and supplements to meet your needs. Whether you take advantage of the Walgreens Brand BOGO sale or buy a different brand of vitamin from Walgreens, a portion of your vitamin purchase will be donated to Vitamin Angels.

When shopping for vitamins, you might find it useful to know that you can help a child in need with every vitamins or supplements purchase at Walgreens. Millions of children around the world are suffering from ‘hidden hunger’, a lack of micronutrients that can lead to disease and even death. In fact, 45% of all childhood deaths are attributable to under-nutrition. Walgreens is giving a portion of all vitamin retail sales to Vitamin Angels to help 100 million children in the U.S. and abroad get the vitamins they need to live well.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
