Do You Have a Star Wars’ Fan on your Christmas List?

My husband hums the Imperial March whenever he is trying to round the kids up for bed. It’s not exactly effective, especially since they wave their hand and say “these are not the children you are looking for”. Star Wars quotes have been a part of our household since before my kids even understood the connection to the movie.

My husband’s idea of encouraging the kids: “Try not. Only do or do not…There is no try”.

And there are corruptions of Star Wars quotes: “Yogurt, you seek yogurt”.

I can’t let my oldest son and daughter (or my husband for that matter) near the moving sidewalks in airports or they act out the scene where  Anakin fights the Geonosians. I wish I were making this up. I’m not. I totally expect my husband and kids to turn up on one of those videos taken from security cameras.

When my daughter went on a retreat with her Bible Study, she forgot a towel, but remembered her light saber. Her response when I questioned her afterwards: “I had my priorities straight; I was able to use my Jedi robe to dry off”.

And they have taught my littlest guy (who has not been allowed to watch the movies yet) to open doors using the force. Yep, I am THAT mom, with THOSE kids (and THAT husband).

So I am pretty sure this $15 for a $30 Gift Certificate for Star Wars merchandise from SuperHeroDen.com will be put to good use. My oldest son, who refuses to quit growing, likes quirky shirts and I found several that I think he will enjoy.

I hope your family is more normal than mine, but if not, take advantage of this Deal on Star Wars’ Merchandise.

Your family is awesome! These are not the children you are looking for…love this!
My son recently became interested in Star Wars (only b/c Angry Birds has a Star Wars version). We’ve been watching the movies to get him up to speed. I sense much Star Wars merchandise in his future.

I had no idea there was a Star Wars version of Angry birds. I have to look into this!

Thanks for sharing the grins. Aren’t you glad they’re not all boring and predictable? So much more fun this way.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
