Save more money by matching coupons to store sales

You can save even more on your grocery bill by optimizing your use of coupons. How do you do this? There are several ways.

  • Clip your coupons and then hold them for a sale at one of your local stores.
  • Make your shopping list, then search the Coupon Database for coupons that match the items on your list.
  • If you have a store with a double coupon day, make that day your shopping day.
  • Combine a manufacturer coupon with a store coupon.
  • Use a combination of these methods. Clip coupons as you find them,  match them to local sales, store coupons, and/or double coupon days.  AND check the coupon database for any coupons you may have missed.

Where You Can Find High Value Coupons:

Coupons.com – Great source of printable coupons

Cellfire – Load these coupons to your store card

SavingStar – Load these coupons to your store card.

Ibotta – Redeem these with your smartphone

Inserts in the Sunday edition of your local newspaper

All You Magazine – Includes approximately $50 in coupons each issue.

Coupon Matchups by Store:

Take advantage of coupon matchups provided by bloggers, to make it easier to match coupons to store sales. I provide coupon matchups for the following national stores:

Dollar Tree

Target

Walmart

CVS

Walgreen’s

If you need help finding coupon matchups for a local store, leave a comment and I will try to find a link for you.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
