Baked Spaghetti Alfredo with Chopped Steak and Bacon- This baked spaghetti Alfredo is a hearty and delicious recipe that won't break your grocery budget.

Do you need something that’s super easy to make, delicious, and won’t break the bank? Of course, you do. Don’t we all more often than not? Well, how does this sound? Spaghetti, chopped steak, creamy Alfredo sauce, sweet onions, fresh green parsley, and a dump truck’s load of crispy bacon?  I mean really, how can you go wrong with something like this? I will show you how to bring this Baked Spaghetti Alfredo with Chopped Steak and Bacon all together right down there where all of those tempting photos are hanging out all scantily clad in deliciousness.

Baked Spaghetti Alfredo with Chopped Steak and Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 pound bacon, crispy
  • 1 two-pound sirloin steak, chopped (I cut a large sirloin into chunks and pulsed it in a food processor.)
  • 2 jars Alfredo sauce
  • 1 large sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp  unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • sea salt or Kosher salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper

Baked Spaghetti Alfredo with Chopped Steak and BaconDirections:

  1. Prep ahead by frying up a mess of bacon to crispy perfection and set aside on paper towel to absorb excess grease.
  2. Brown the steak in a hot skillet with EVOO, butter, sea salt, and black pepper.
  3. Sauté the sweet onions until translucent.
  4. Prepare spaghetti according to package instructions. Cook until al dente and drain off water using a colander. Return to the pot and toss with EVOO, sea salt, and pepper.
  5. Add chopped steak, onions, parsley, and Alfredo sauce to pasta. Toss together.
  6. Pour contents into a large cast iron skillet or casserole dish.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and top with copious and obscene amounts of crispy thick-cut bacon.
  9. Serve.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
