A Giant Surprise - Green Giant MultiGrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt

While it is not a surprise that I love veggies, you may be surprised to know that that I didn’t like vegetables as a kid. There was one exception; I did like Green Giant’s frozen vegetables and looked forward to the special holiday dinners when my mom would serve them.

My relationship with vegetables changed dramatically when I started trying veggies as a young adult. To my surprise I discovered vegetable recipes that I enjoyed and realized that they had something in common with the Green Giant frozen vegetables that I liked so much: the vegetables were still slightly crisp and the seasoning enhanced the flavor of the vegetable without overpowering it.

My Aha Moment:  I realized that any vegetable can be made palatable under the right conditions!  But this is something Green Giant has know all along. Now they are taking their talent for creating delicious vegetables to the snack aisle and offering Veggie Chips.

Green Giant did a little too good of a job making delicious veggie chips! I was sent some chips to try and my family devoured the Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt before I could get good pictures.

A Giant surprise! Green giant Veggie Chips: Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips and Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with Sea Salt

Now you see them…now they are gone! the combination of sweet potatoes and sea salt is that good. I wasn’t too upset because the Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips – Sea Salt Flavor are made with real sweet potatoes and are gluten-free. I was also pleased to discover that they don’t contain soy, which we avoid because my daughter and I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis.

Instead of showing you an empty crinkled bag, I decided to use the printable coupon I found for Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips to buy some more. FYI: My store didn’t have the Green Giant Veggie Chips on the chip aisle, they had them on the snack and cracker aisle instead, so if you don’t find these chips on your chip aisle, look in other locations where your store stocks snacks.

While I was shopping for more Green Giant chips, I picked up a sweet potato and yogurt to create a Sweet Potato Dip to go with them – because my talent is sneaking more veggies into my kids diet. While we snacked on Green Giant Sweet Potato Chips, apples and sweet potato dip we checked out the surprise talents the Green Giant has unearthed on YouTube. There are some really funny surprise talents!

We weren’t able to try Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips – Zesty Cheddar Flavor because they contain gluten, but I gave them to a friend who said they were delicious with a bold cheesy flavor. She said she liked them better than the other cheese tortilla chips she has tried and loved that they contained vegetables.
