March Computer Classes at the Downtown Reno Library

Did you know that Basic Computer Classes at the Downtown Reno Library? Here is a list of upcoming computer classes:

Introduction to Email – March 6
This class is for those who do not have an e-mail account.  We will cover the process of creating a personal, Web-based e-mail account.  Prerequisite: Introduction to the Internet class or comparable skills.

Using Email – March 13
Learn to use your Web-based e-mail account to send and receive messages, send attachments and manage contacts. Prerequisite: Introduction to Email class or comparable skills and a Web-based email account.

Intermediate Internet – March 20
Learn to use free tools and tips to navigate the Web; using search engines to find information, images and maps; learn tabbed browsing and how to print from the Web.  Prerequisite: Introduction to the Internet class or comparable Web-browsing skills.

Advanced Internet – March 27
Learn information skills to improve your online information literacy; maintain your privacy while online; learn basics of Web-browsing security and privacy including browsing history, cookies and pop-ups. Prerequisite: Intermediate Internet Class or advanced Web-browsing skills.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
