Cajun Seasoning Recipe
This recipe for Cajun seasoning is easy to make and uses ingredients that you probably already have in your spice cupboard. Tailor the recipe to suit your taste. After you have found the exact combination of spices that you enjoy, make a double or triple batch,s o you always have some Cajun Seasoning Mix on hand.
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
- Add the salt and spices to a bowl. Stir well to combine.
- Place the Cajun spice mix in a lidded container. Store in a dark, cool cupboard or pantry.
- Use as called for in recipes.
