Do you have a yard that doesn’t get much sun? If so, you might feel pretty limited with the kinds of plants you can enjoy. Well shady yard or not, don’t fret just yet. 1. Begonia

Begonias are a wonderful choice for people who want plenty of colorful blooms in their yard. Begonias come in shades of pink, red, cream, peach and white, and they are sure to flower all season long. Enjoy them in hanging baskets or flower beds. Just give them rich, well drained soil and they will do great. Begonias can typically be purchases for less than $10 per flat.

2. Copper Plant

Copper Plant is ideal for people who want to incorporate the rich, red color into their borders and landscaping. It is a leafy plant but still offers tons of bold color and flare. Copper Plant also does great in pots if you prefer to display them that way. Copper plant is often sold by the container for just a few dollars.

3. Basic Garden Hydrangea

Garden hydrangeas are a fantastic plant because they bloom all season long in shades of blue, cream, pink, and white. When they are done blooming you can even remove the dried heads to use in crafting or home decor. Hydrangeas require little care, just the basic drained soil and regular watering. 5. Hostas

Hostas can be found in dozens of varieties and offer gorgeous green color to your yard. For just a few bucks per plant, they can grow to be quite large and impressive. Even better is hostas are a perennial, so once you plant them they should return year after year.

6. Amethyst Flower

Amethyst flower debunks the myth that shade loving plants can’t be colorful. It’s tiny blue blooms are so pretty, and it can add a pop of color to hanging baskets and borders. For just a few dollars per plant, it is a must have annual to add to your garden!

7. Coleus

Coleus is another plant that can offer striking green color to your yard, but it also comes in varieties with purple and white on it as well. It is a perennial, so if taken care of it should return year after year. For just a few dollars per plant, it is a great way to add color and texture to your garden.
