15 DIY Spring Decorations

I bet I am not the only one who is excited that Spring is almost here! We had a great day with blue skies and warmer weather and this made me so excited for the impending season. Spring is my absolute favorite season. I think the weather is just right, the flowers are coming back and everything feels like a renewing of spirit.

One of the best ways to get rid of the winter blues, I have found, is to decorate my home with bright, cheery colors and get some fresh flowers inside (that is, until the tulips start to show up). Doing crafts while the weather is still not all that nice and rain is coming down is a great way to pass the time until the sun shows up.

Included in this roundup are some ways for you to do just that. I hope you enjoy making some of the crafts that have been included. One of my favorites is the “A little Birdie Told me Counter” that allows you to count down the days until Spring is officially here! Enjoy!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
