Can you believe it is already close to fall?  That mean’s Halloween is right around the corner too.

Do you host an annual Halloween Party?  Maybe even an Adult Halloween party?   If so then this article is for you.

Halloween is an exciting time, pumpkins are carved in scary faces, witches are brewing, and ghost are booing.   But sometimes it’s nice to change things up and do something different.

This year is all about glam.   What about entertaining a Halloween Party with a touch of elegance?

Easy, Elegant, and Inexpensive Halloween centerpiece for your table

Black and white are so classy when used together, the candles add the elegance, yet you still have spooky Halloween elements with the black crows, owls, and spiders.

Decorations for halloween Party - spooky spiders

This is a very easy and inexpensive centerpiece to make, and the best thing is that there is no right or wrong way to make it.
Most of the supplies you probably already have around your home and the twigs and moss for the tree can come from your yard.
Subtlely spooky Halloween Table decorations - tips for how to recreate this look
Supplies needed
  • white candles
  • glass and silver candle holders or candle sticks
  • a black photo frame
  • twigs from your back yard
  • moss from your trees
  • floral styrofoam
  • small vase or planter
  • Crows, spiders, and a black owl
  • Halloween stickers
Directions for the tree
  • cut your floral styrofoam to fit into your small planter.  If you chose to use a vase, you will not be using styrofoam, so begin with the next step
  • gather your twigs and break them to the sizes that you want.  You want them to be different sizes and different heights.
  • Randomly add your crows, spiders and owl on branches.
*You can buy the glow in the dark, rubber spiders and spray paint them black.  Or you can even make your own spooky spiders.
  • add moss to the branches and to the top of the planter to cover up the styrofoam.  Once again, the moss placement is random.  Just make sure to let it hang off the branches
Now that you have the tree made, use different height candles and use the tallest candles in the back of the arrangement.
The Boo sign is just a white piece of paper cut to fit the black frame.  I added the spider web and spider stickers to the paper and drew BOO with a black sharpie.

Your glamorous Halloween tablescape will certainly wow your guests.  Try displaying this attractive centerpiece on your mantle or on your main table to be the focal point of the room and everyone will notice.

Very cool, but spiders even plastic ones give me the creeps. So fun to look at.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
