Homemade Paint With Water Coloring Pages

I have spent way too much time this week talking on the phone with companies. During these calls I need Rew to be happily occupied for a couple of minutes so that I can focus, remember to ask the right questions, and write notes.

I remembered my older kids enjoying paint with water books. They could “paint” without making a huge mess. Since I did not have any paint with water books on hand I decided to make some myself.

I used paper, stencils, and washable marker.

I stenciled making dotted lines. Then I filled in the stenciled picture with colored dots.

Since Rew also enjoys letters I dashed out some letters for him to trace.

This only took a couple of minutes per picture.

Inexpensive entertainment in progress!

I think having the big kids make paint with water pages is a great idea. My older kids are more artistic than I am, so they would not even need to use stencils.

I've always wondered how I could make these!

A great time saver for me would be to have the older children make them for the younger children! It would also be a good way for them to make a birthday or Christmas present for a younger child! My children always want to make presents for their siblings.

That is really easy. I never knew you could make your own!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
