If you want to remove stains from your teeth, but don’t want to use strips or trays, here is how to whiten teeth without using whitening strips or trays.

Want to remove stains from your teeth, but don't like peroxide whitening strips or tooth bleaching trays? Here's How to Whiten Your Teeth without Using Whitening Strips or Trays

I am an avid coffee and tea drinker and unfortunately, both of those beverages cause discoloration of my teeth over time. I have tried various whitening strips and trays over the years. However, my teeth are very sensitive so even though they helped some, I discontinued use early due to the increased sensitivity of my teeth.

The other thing I didn’t like about whitening strips and tooth bleaching trays was the amount of time I had to devote to it each day, sitting with a disgusting tasting strip in my mouth.

I decided to look for another alternative when my oldest son expressed an interest in whitening his teeth. He has perfect teeth, no cavities, and no sensitivity. His teeth were just a little yellow. He was a good candidate for whitening strips, but I didn’t want to risk his teeth and gums becoming sensitive due to the peroxide in the whitening strips.

I started looking for an alternative to tooth whitening strips and bleaching trays for my son. A friend recommended a whitening toothpaste that didn’t have peroxide. Since I have sensitive teeth, I decided to try it before giving it to my son. If it didn’t cause me pain, then I would let my son try it.

I was sincerely surprised by the AP-24 whitening toothpaste. First, it didn’t cause any discomfort. It has a mild flavor and is smooth instead of gritty. I noticed a difference in my teeth within a week. It removed external coffee and tea stains which whitened my teeth without peroxide and brightened my smile without causing my teeth to become more sensitive.

At first, I thought $20 for a tube of toothpaste was expensive, but then I realized that since I only use a pea size amount each time I brush my teeth, a tube lasts for over a month. So it was actually less expensive to use AP-24 Whitening Toothpaste than the strips and trays.

I was so pleased with my results using the whitening toothpaste, that I encouraged my husband and kids to give it a try.

I asked my husband if he would let me take pictures of his teeth and then use the toothpaste to see if he noticed a difference too. He is also a heavy coffee drinker but in addition to drinking coffee, he also drinks diet soda. Below is his before picture and after picture. The “after” picture was taken after 2 weeks of use.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
