Natural Sore Throat RemediesThe flu hit our house. Hard! My daughter had complications due to her asthma and had to go to the hospital for breathing treatments. Even once she was breathing more normally, she still felt awful. She had a sore throat that was aggravated by a cough. She spent several restless nights propped up with pillows and  nursed her throat with tea and honey. I sure wish I would have known about these 3 Natural Sore Throat Remedies! I am sure my daughter would have welcomed the Lemon Ginger Sore Throat Suckers!

You will find the recipe for the suckers along with two soothing beverages created by Mari on Inspired by Family. I hope you don’t need these remedies, but you might want to bookmark them just in case…

You can find more Naturally Frugal Tips here.

Honey and lemon is a long-standing favorite of mine, but the lemon/ginger/mint tea sounds lovely too.
Also, in my house, we drink Ribena when we’re feeling under the weather… it’s a British drink, basically blackcurrant syrup, which you can have hot or cold, mixed to the desired strength. Definitely a childhood memory!

I have never heard of Ribena, but I am off to google it now as my youngest is starting to cough…

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
