If you’re getting ready to dive into the world of paleo, or you just want to become more efficient in your paleo lifestyle – keep reading! This article will prepare you and teach you How to Stock Your Kitchen for Paleo, as there are lots of essentials you’ll need!

How To Stock Your Kitchen for Paleo

A good set of knives. There is so much prep work that goes into eating paleo because you’re eating such fresh foods. You’ll have to give up convenience and do a lot of the cutting and putting together yourself. Because of that, you’ll want to invest in a good set of knives that work well and don’t make you spend more time cutting than you need to.

Sturdy cutting board. A sturdy cutting board will be your best friend! It’s worth it to shell out a little more to get a cutting board that will last a long time. If you intend on sticking to Paleo, there will likely be a lot of cutting in your future!

Immersion blender. Immersion blenders are a great way to whip up some of your favorite Paleo versions of sauces and dressings. You can make Paleo mayonnaise super quickly with an immersion blender. It helps with a lot of the convenience foods that you’d normally be missing!

Healthy snacks! When you first cut out all of the non-Paleo foods initially, you might feel the urge to snack on stuff. Find some healthy snacks like almonds or carrots to snack on so you’re not tempted to fill up on junk food.

Plenty of Paleo cookbooks! One of the best things you can do to help you with your Paleo diet is to stock up on Paleo cookbooks. This will ensure you’re not eating the same thing over and over. There are some great cookbooks on Amazon with amazing Paleo recipes! You’ll be inspired to get creative in the kitchen with these:

Good cookware. Since you’ll be cooking so much, you want to make sure you have reliable cookware that can get the job done and handle the heat! While you don’t necessarily have to buy new cookware, you can find some quality items at Goodwill, yard sales, and even online on Amazon or eBay. Here are some tips on buying second-hand cookware.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
