Biology Unit Study Resources including fun human biology lesson plans, body systems simulation projects, biology worksheets and biology videos and clips.

I have always loved pretty much any unit of study when it comes to science, but one of my favorites by far is biology and how the human body works. It has always amazed me how every little part of our bodies works so well together to keep us moving, living, and enjoying life. The human body is truly a miracle! If you are looking for biology lesson plans ideas, here are some biology unit study resources to help you put together the coolest unit study ever.

Biology Unit Study Resources

The Empire State Learning Network has a page with resources for creating a lesson plan on biology.

If you want to study viruses and the effect on the human body, World of Viruses has a curricula page to help you explore that.

Biology Printables and Worksheets

Here is an Introduction to Biology crossword with basic vocabulary from Teachers Pay Teachers.  This would be perfect to use to start the unit and get your kids familiar with the lingo.

KB Teachers has some great human biology worksheets for free that include everything from labeling body parts to fill in the blanks pages.

Biology Crafts and Activities

Make a model of a heart using plastic bottles to create a very tangible way of how the heart is pumped and circulated with these instructions from eHow.

High Hill Education has another plastic bottle project that shows you how to make a working model of the kidneys and bladder.

Biology Videos and Clips

This video from Nucleus Medical Media called The Cell is only 7 minutes long but a great video for introducing this part we are all made of.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
