Weather has long fascinated me and it fascinates most kids because it is such a powerful force sometimes. It can make your day absolutely enjoyable on a bight sunny day or it can be incredible to watch on a night with crazy thunderstorms. Snow is usually most kid’s favorite as well. After all, it’s the weather they get to play in!

This Stormy Weather Lesson Plan from Discovery is for grades 6-8 but could easily be adapted for older or younger kids.

Homeschool Helper Online has a great Weather Lapbook for older and younger kids. It talks about advanced weather vocabulary as well as simple lessons like types of clouds.
