Cucumbers are cool and refreshing, perfect for many dishes and, of course, perfect for pickling. One thing that’s great about cucumbers is many things that the possibilities are endless when it comes to how to enjoy them. They are even good for removing under-eye puffiness!

If you bought a bunch of cucumbers and want to find something to do with them that isn’t just the normal pickle, here are some tips for storing them and then 10 delicious cucumber recipes to use them in!

How to Freeze Cucumbers for Smoothies

Cucumbers are high in water content, so they are great as a liquid base in smoothies. To freeze cucumbers for smoothies, you will want to cube or thick-slice them and place them on a tray to freeze before transforming them to a freezer container. Be aware that you will only be able to use them in something like gazpacho or a smoothies after this, though, because cucumbers have such a high water content that they will be soft and almost mushy when they thaw.

I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
