14 Fresh Lemon Recipes- Check out this list of recipes that use fresh lemons for soups, breads, dinner entrees, desserts, and more.

We are just winding down on citrus season, but lemons aren’t usually too expensive most of the time anyway. I really love a good lemon taste to just about anything. It’s acidity is sometimes the perfect balance in my recipes to make them taste just right. If lemon is something you really enjoy, check out these 14 Fresh Lemon Recipes along with some good tips on storing lemons for optimal freshness.

How to Store Fresh Lemons

Lemons can be stored in the fridge for up to a month and retain maximum freshness. While most people think lemons look very nice and cheery when stored on the counter, this can actually speed up the process of them drying out and losing freshness. To get more juice from your lemons, try storing them in a plastic zipper style bag in the fridge, uncut.

If you like using zest in your recipes, make sure you check out these tips on How to Freeze Fresh Lemon and Lime Zest.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
