How to Decorate Gingerbread Men Cookies
There are many options for decorating the cookies. You can use our Butter Cream Frosting Recipe, Crisco Frosting Recipe, or our Royal Icing Recipe to ice the cookies.
You can use candy eyes or pipe the eyes and mouth on the face.
Sprinkles or sugar crystals can always be added on top of your icing to add texture or design. But you can also leave them off.
For our Chocolate Gingerbread Man Cookies, we piped them with Royal Icing though you can use the little containers of store-bought icing.

Then we thinned the Royal Icing to create flood icing to fill the piped areas with more icing to create a shirt on the gingerbread man and a dress on the gingerbread woman.

To make the gingerbread man’s pants, flood the pants area with red icing. Then add several lines of of green icing. Run a toothpick through the icing to create a pattern in the pants.
