Delicious Kiwi Recipes- Learn how to freeze kiwis for later use. You'll find plenty of inspiration with these kiwi appetizer, snack, and breakfast recipes.

When I was a kid, a kiwi was one of my favorite snacks. I loved the sweet and green flesh and how the outside was fuzzy. I never really considered using kiwis in recipes before, but as I grew up and began to look for them, I was surprised at how many there were out there. This great fruit is perfect for all sorts of recipes. Since they are in season right now, you can get them cheaper than any other time of the year.  If you are looking to create a new and exciting dish with kiwi, here is a list of Delicious Kiwi Recipes to try as well as tips on How to Freeze Kiwis until you are ready to use them.

How to Freeze Kiwis

First, peel kiwi (check out how to do it in 30 seconds from The Bold Abode)and slice into 1/4 inch thick slices. Fill a zipper style bag with 1 cup of sugar to about 6 or 7 kiwis. Toss to lightly coat and then place on a cookie sheet flat on wax paper. Freeze until solid and then transfer to a container for freezing.

Kiwis contain a good amount of water so they can change texture a little bit after freezing. If using frozen kiwis, make sure you can use puree in the recipe.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
