 Are your kids excited for the new Minions movie? My kids can’t wait to see it. I am predicting a Minion birthday party in our future and have been thinking of ideas for a Minion party and Minion party food ideas. While just about any yellow food can be adapted to a Minion party, I have a feeling kids will appreciate something sweet over yellow peppers! We have come up with a few fun Minion food ideas including these adorable Minion Cupcakes and the Minion Muddy Buddies recipe below.

How to Make Minion Muddy Buddies

 These Minion Muddy Buddies make a great snack, but they would also make a fun Minion Party Favor. Just put them in a small clear bag and tie it shut with a yellow ribbon.

If your wondering what snack to make at your next play-date or party, look no further.  These Minion Muddy Buddies are an easy snack and will be a hit with kids and adults alike.

Minion Muddy Buddy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 9 cups Chex Cereal
  • 2 Cups White Chocolate Candy Melts
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • Yellow Sixlets
  • Wilton Candy Eyes (small size)
  • Blue Food Dye (if desired)
Directions
1. Pour Chex into a large bowl and set aside.
2. In a small bowl, microwave chocolate on high for 30-seconds at a time until melted and smoothe when stirred.
3. Add in 2-3 drops of blue food dye to melted chocolate, stir, and pour over chex mix.
4. Pour cereal mixture and powdered sugar into a large ziplock bag and shake until fully coated.
5. Add in sixlets and small candy eyes.
6. Serve and enjoy!

Minion Muddy Buddies

I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
