One food that my children will always be happy to eat is spaghetti with garlic toast. If I made it for every meal I served they would gladly dig in and never complain. But sending spaghetti in a lunch box for school isn’t easy to do. Even if they have access to a microwave to heat the spaghetti up at meal time, it’s messy and likely not at all what a teacher wants to see a student bringing for lunch. So I came up with a great way for my kids to have something super fun and yummy for lunch that they already love but is also easy to pack and easy to eat with just their hands and no need to pack utensils. Spaghetti Poppers can be made with your favorite ingredients or simply made as directed.
- 1 (8-10ct) canned biscuits
- ½ Cup Favorite Spaghetti Sauce (Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce)
- 1 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan
- 2 Tablespoons Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter or Margarine
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In small bowl melt margarine or butter mixed with garlic powder. Set aside.
- On clean surface, pat out canned biscuits until ⅛”-1/4” thick.
- Spoon 1-2 teaspoons of the spaghetti sauce in center of each biscuit.
- Top the sauce with a sprinkle of Grated Parmesan and pinch of shredded mozzarella.
- Fold sides of the biscuit around sauce making a ball with filling inside.
- Place into casserole dish with folded side down and smooth side up.
- Brush top of each “popper” with garlic butter.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until biscuits rise and are golden brown on top. Brush with additional garlic butter if desired.
My children like their spaghetti poppers served with ranch salad dressing for dipping. It is an odd combination to me but they say it’s perfect. Perfect packed in a Bento style box with some baby carrots, ranch dressing and a plum or grapes for a complete meal.

So there is no spaghetti in spaghetti poppers? I would do up some noodles and pack that inside the biscuit with the sauce and cheese….
