You can download free Kindle books and read them on your Kindle, tablet, smartphone, or even your computer. Here is a list of free eBooks, plus details for how to read them even if you don’t own a Kindle.

A list of 10 free Kindle books from Amazon. Find a title to enjoy today from this list of ebooks which includes DIY books, cookbooks, gardening books, and some fiction books.

Reading is one of my favorite activities, but the cost of books can get quite expensive. Even buying books at the thrift store can add up. And while I do check out books from the library, on crazy-busy months when I forget to return them, the price of late fees can add up fast! So I take advantage of the free books from Amazon to help me save money while enjoying my favorite pastime.

We try to include books from a variety of genres, but gardening and cooking are my favorite hobbies, so my free book lists tend to be heavy on those types of books. If you don’t like the titles on my list, you can go here for help finding a free Kindle book that matches your interests.

I was surprised that all the books were still free today! The Smart Fat Cookbook is one of the best cookbooks I have ever found (free or not)!
I am a little concerned about the common theme in most of the fiction books, though. Everything OK with you?

I thought Plain Brown Wrapper was a book I read years ago. It’s not the same book (I was thinking of Plain Brown Rapper) but thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for the selection. Not all of them were free when I checked but I like the ones I found. Avaritia will be the first one I read. From the summary, I expect a better ending than the one in Animal Farm.

They don’t stay free very long, thanks for letting me know. Endings sure can make or break a book. Let us know what you think about Avaritia’s ending.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
