10 Budget Wedding Ideas for a Spring Wedding-A Spring wedding can be done frugally with these tips to save money.

Spring is a great time to have a wedding. No matter if you are having an indoor wedding or an outdoor wedding, there are some great ways to embrace spring and do so on a budget! Here are 10 Budget Wedding Ideas for a Spring Wedding that are helpful to know as you plan.

10 Budget Wedding Ideas for a Spring Wedding

1. Skip the expensive flower arrangements. YES! Skip the real flowers and use fake flowers. Flowers can eat up a huge chunk of your décor and wedding budget. You can cut that down by using fake flowers instead
of real ones.

2. Use wildflowers and mason jars. Not a fan of fake flowers? Well, then it’s a good thing your wedding is in spring! The flowers are in bloom and you can go a pick wildflowers to use in mason
jars for wedding décor. Best part? They are free!

3. Skip the aisle runner. You can get flower petals from the wildflowers in bloom and use them to make an aisle runner. This is perfect for outdoor weddings!

4. Use butterflies for your bouquet. Another way to skip the flowers is to use the wire butterflies in your bouquet. You know the ones that are used the flower arrangements. It’s a great way to use the spring theme and they are much cheaper than a flower bouquet.

5. Go for Pastels. Use pastels in your color scheme. Can you believe in many cases you can get cheaper dresses, and even décor just by using pastels? Bright colors are associated with proms and birthdays so the prices will be a bit more!

6. Use lights for ambience in the later part of the day. After Christmas hit the clearance and get string lights super cheap and use them to string around the room to make a canopy for ambience. You can use a bunch of tea light candles as well. The bonus is the darker it is the less décor you need to fill the space!

7. Use watering cans and gardening supplies. Spring is a great time for gardening so use that to your advantage! Use old watering cans to hold flowers for décor, you can find old ones at thrift stores and garage sales. You can also use a shovel and a piece of wood to make any signs you need as well. DIY and super cheap!

8. Use seed packets for favors. Following the garden theme above give out seed packets as wedding favors. You can make your own labels to put on them and they are super cheap!

9. Make twig flower pots. Collect twigs and glue them into a circle flower pot to use for arrangements as décor or centerpieces. Anytime you can DIY you will save money!

10. Make an easy and classic white cake with flowers for color. Go for a simple white cake and use the flowers (or fake flowers) you use in your wedding to decorate the cake.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
