There's still plenty of cold weather left, so why not knit a new hat? Here are 10 free knit hat patterns for women for all skill levels.

When I did the post on 10 free crochet hat patterns for women, I was excited to see how many kniting patterns there were as well. There are so many great styles out there! What’s great about knitting something small like a hat is that it can be done by beginners and advanced knitters alike, and it usually usually does not take long to finish. This means you still have plenty of time to knit a few hats before the cold weather is done! Here are 10 free knit hat patterns for women to inspire you to create!

This Bliss Set featuring a hat and cowl from Drops Design is so nice that it would look great dressed up or down!

This Ariosa Pom Pom Hat from Classic Elite Yarns is classic in itself. It’s the perfect winter hat for a day outside.

I love this Center Square Hat from Knitty. It has that simple winter sweater look to it. This hat would look great on the slopes!

Another great hat from Knitty is this Couvercle Hat. It is edgy enough that it would be great for a teen, too!

I am a big fan of the slouchy beret styles and this Grace Lace Beret from Loop Knots is the perfect hat to make for a casual yet dressed up look.

This Floppy Knit Hat from Red Heart Yarns is great for making in a variety of colors. The pattern says it is easy, too!

I love how warm this Helmet Hat Pattern from AV Knits on the Run via Ravelry looks. Great colors, too!

This Easy Snowboarder Hat from Yarn Inspirations looks awesome! I always loved those hats with the long chin ties on them. Very cute!

The Super Bobble Hat from Knit me a Song is great for a nice hat that will go with any look.

I am a sucker for hats that have big chunky buttons on them and this E & K’s Gnome Hat from Knitting Cottage has just that.

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
