10 Free Knitting Patterns for Babies including free baby hat patterns, baby blankets, clothing and other free knitting patterns for baby.

It used to be such a traditional thing to do: knit something for the new member of the family. Now everything is so easily bought, and we no longer need to make our own clothes in most cases. Even so, there is still a huge reason to knit something for baby, and that’s quality. You simply cannot beat the quality of a hand-made item, and it can be the most cherished of all the clothing and items you have when you newborn arrives. If you have a baby on the way or you know someone who does and you are dying to knit them something, here are 10 free knitting patterns for babies.

This Stroller Blanket from See Sophie Knit is super cute and perfect for brisk mornings! I always thought a stroller blanket would come in handy for chilly summer nights and when going to morning parades.

There is nothing cuter than a pair of legwarmers on a baby and these Baby Frog Legs Leg Warmers from Baste + Gather are the cutest I have seen! I love that this pattern not only has very thorough and easy to follow instructions, but also a video on how to do a special stitch.

I love this Baby Teether Lovey from Lori Watson via Ravelry. Looks like the perfect solution for fussy babes.

Culture of Crafting has a great nautical pattern for a baby blanket called Baby Sets Sail. I just love this blanket! It looks so sophisticated and sweet.

Looking for the perfect baby sweater? Make this Baby Seed Jacket from Wanda Grayson Designs! It looks so adorable with the little buttons.

This Owl Hat is part of a costume, but looks absolutely adorable by itself. Check out the pattern on Hammer and Thread.

This Baby-Wearing Blanket from Playing with Fibre via Ravelry it the perfect solution for moms in cold climates. I think it’s just ingenious for keeping baby close to mom or dad and warm and toasty, too!

I love diaper covers and this Bottom of My Heart Baby Bloomer pattern from Jordanna Paige is really adorable! I love the colors she chose for these. Wouldn’t this be a cute thing to wear in the summer for your little one?

This Hoodie Baby Blanket from the Thrifty Knitter is a great thing every new mom or dad should have. It would make a great gift, too!

Baby booties are a traditional gift to knit and these Baby Uggs take the cake. These are from Things for Boys.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
